Men like kingpins falling from on high
Every day a new story, new victim.

Hold on, hold on. I’ve got you.

I refuse to let this moment pass.
This cannot happen to you, too.

Times are changing, voices rising —
Our words echo in the unkind void.

Outrage fatigue sets in: there’s no more I can do.
