Exactly! That's why I subscribe to the half-your-age-plus-seven rule until both parties are over 25. 14-year-olds should only ever date other 14-year-olds. A 21-year-old can comfortably date an 18-year-old. But the absolute youngest someone 30 should be dating is 22. Even then I'd keep an eye on that relationship to make sure the power dynamics weren't red flags, you know?
