I often agree with Katie, but not necessarily about everything. I agree with you that echo chambers can get dicey, even if the message starts out reasonable. I'm not sure of her position on conscription; I'm anti-conscription myself, and find it baffling how any feminist could say 'men should die in wars'.

I read your article and found another point of agreement: men are too often left out of the conversation about gender. The Left often doesn't speak to or listen to boys and young men, except to tell them to step aside. When they fall prey to the tactics of the Right, its often because the Right is at least speaking to them. What they have to say is super toxic and harmful, but at least its attention -- rather than the silence or scorn they may see from the Left. It's always been my position that men need to be part of the conversation about gender. It's a problem my husband and I talk about frequently. He's never been tempted by the Tate rabbit hole, but he can see why some people are, when liberal politics overwhelmingly seem to say "[toxic] masculinity is bad" without offering any alternative, positive models for masculinity.
