I really, really hope they don't equate incest with queerness (because it's more "transgressive"??). If they wanted to get more shocking/transgressive, they could have made one of the characters trans, since that's a hot-button topic right now. Or they could have set it in a culture that is not accepting of queerness. Incest is taboo for a reason.
