I’ve had a very similar experience; I’m 26 without an official diagnosis of autism, but that’s 100% me. I got diagnosed with adhd when I was 5 but no one thought to tell me until I was 19. I’ve always struggled with math (hey there discalculia!), have anxiety, aphantasia, and memory problems. It’s infuriating that no one helped girls with autism in our age group, because the symptoms were different. Only white boys got diagnosed in the 80s and 90s. Now it’s getting better, but there’s a ways to go.
Don’t give up on finding your passion or niche or place in this world though; I’m working on a PhD even though I, too, don’t have a driver's license! Who needs the traditional markers of "success"? Do what you love and one day, you’ll know who you are and find people who love and support you. I believe that, truly.
