James Joyce's Ulysses as well! The first 13 episodes (of 18) were published in The Little Review, until the US govt shut it down for obscenity (episode 13 contains *gasp* masturbation). He edited them a lot before the novel came out in 1922, and it is notable that the last five chapters, and especially episode 15, are significantly longer and more complicated than the ones that were serialized. Also, sooo much dirtier. Because he couldn’t get away with it when it was being serialized. Plus scenes were censored in the serialized version, like the end of episode 4 when Leopold Bloom goes to the outhouse.
