Thank you for shedding light on this topic! My husband is a conservation biologist and he's pro-trophy hunting under specific circumstances. If a herd needs culling anyway (and all game reserves do need to be culled, eventually, to keep them viable), why not let a billionaire pay and fund the operation for the privilege of taking the shot? Morally, it's a hard question, but the economic longevity of some restoration projects depend on making this tough call.
