That's another unfortunate part of age gaps, even when both parties are adults, and why there are so many young widows. My good friend (30) is getting married to a man who is turning 60 (!) this year. They have two small children together, both born during COVID. She's going to be spending her adulthood taking care of her children AND him, and he might not live to see their youngest graduate college. It's sad for her and the kids. He has kids in their 20s already.
