That's really sweet. I also found myself wondering what happened to the homeless man in the last / 'perfect' day. We don't see Phil's full morning, but we know he bought insurance from Ned on the way to the Knob. I like to think that he gave the man some money for a good meal at the diner, or maybe asked Ned to take care of him. He must still pass, since we know nothing Phil did could save him, but I like to think that Phil's 'perfect' day, being in the right place at the right time to help everyone, also included making the homeless man's last day a nice one where someone cared and made him comfortable.
