That's so interesting. I'm in academia (getting my doctorate in English lit) but it's my partner, who has hyperphantasia, who is the science one. I was always interested in science but the arts are my passion, and I love writing/creating. I mostly use mnemonics for memory, rather than imagery (because I don't experience visual imagery). I don't think it can be "trained" into people with aphantasia, though. I recently saw a study where they gave MRIs to people with aphantasia and the visual cortex of the brain didn't light up without stimuli, ie, could not be voluntarily activated whatsoever.
