This story makes me so glad that although my mother was raised Catholic, she embraced my atheist husband (and our priestless marriage in front of a roaring fire instead of an altar). Very well-written and relatable, as someone who just got married myself (at 28, after living in sin for five years!) and all the complications that come along with wedding planning, even as an 'older' bride.
