While I agree, I feel like there's also a significant undercurrent of misogyny to this result -- as evinced in the celebratory "your body, my choice" movement among young Republicans. A lot of voters from both sides seemed to think any man, no matter how unqualified, better than voting for a woman, no matter how qualified.
